Recap of Day One

The first day didn’t go exactly the way I wanted primarily due to my late night/late morning habits. It was already past noon by the time I got up and had a hot steamy bath with a few drops of natural musk oil. I always start the day with a big glass of pure water followed by the ACV tonic, but I was out of honey this morning so no tonic as of yet. I’ll have one before bed. I made a pot of organic coffee and tried it with some soy milk instead of my usual half and half. Happily I broke the sugar habit about a year ago which eradicated headaches. The soy mik was fine but I really don’t like the organic coffee. It will be hard to break the Maxwell House habit. I made the decision before starting this project what I could and could not give up. I could give up alcohol and the sparse cigarette habit that accompanies it. But I could not give up my two cups of coffee in the morning. I’ve given up all other caffeine except for coffee. It’s a ritual I share with my lover every day and it makes me feel happy … especially since he usually prepares it and serves it. How can I give that up?

Then it was off to the market. I spent quite a while there and really enjoyed it. I got all the supplies except for fresh organic spinach and licorice oil but did find some licorice tea. I also leaned about miso from a very knowledgeable vegan working there who also gave me a snack to look forward to in a couple weeks. Feta cheese, marinated roasted red peppers topped with a little slice of avocado on thin matzo type crackers.

I returned and relaxed with two cups of cinnamon herbal tea as well as some cannabis. Both were very aromatic and tasty. I also “dropped” some Gotu Kola to nourish my brain. Not tasty at all. I decided aloe vera would be my purgative choice and ponder whether I should shoot it down or look for a way to serve it in juice. [aha! best to take straight]
